My name is Shannon Tackett and I am an Interactive Media/Web Design major at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. I live in Mount Pleasant, SC right outside of Charleston. I was born in Frankfurt, Germany and spent most of my childhood in Fairborn, Ohio right outside of Dayton. I moved to Columbus, OH when I was 19 and then to Los Angeles when I was 22 just for the hell of it. Then I decided to explore Charleston also known as the Holy City.

I have always loved drawing, sculpture, computers, and music so graphic/web design seemed like a great way for me to combine all of the things I am passionate about. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, grilling, listening to music, watching movies, going to concerts, designing websites and graphics, and playing with my labrador retriever Leila.

I taught myself basic HTML, Dreamweaver and Photoshop and started building websites before I enrolled at the Art Institute. It is fun for me. I really enjoy helping people create attractive designs for print and the web and helping them establish a powerful web presence for their charity organization, small business, or whatever the case may be.
